Dr. Seuss FEVER

So IF I haven't mentioned we are moving on SATURDAY and I have been packing my entire home with no ones cough cough help. That is ok though because my husband works so darn hard he literally hasn't had the time off work to help any...

Here is a sneak peak of my new NO GROWN UPS ALOUD HOME I'll post photos when I am done. Just a lil insight to my theory on decorating...I live for my children now I want them to enjoy playtime , snack time anytime at our home and it be cheerful and a kid zone. I want my home to give them inspiration and allow them to daydream...I am breaking all the rules people have made on decorating by making it adult or contempory yada yada yada...I've chose bright colors..chalkboard spaces..polka dots and dr. seuss THIS is going to be fun.
Im so excited!
This is the shower curtain ,rug and towels I ordered from Pottery Barn. The sink style we are adding to our kids bathroom in anoter color. I plan on putting some sort of custom made canvas on the wall..probably with a quote from DR. SEUSS himself like  Today You are You, that is truer than true. no one alive is Youer than You.
Ps. I'm painting the walls yellow. :)

I already showed my Ava explaining how we would use it and hello ! We're looking forward to that candy too!! haha!

Go check out her blog she has wonderful *and * creative ideas!!

Easy -cheap! kids Halloween decor!

Well I have never REALLY decorated our homes yet since we have rented and unless its Christmas it just wasn't a priority...but now I am so into it and want to go ALL out for every theme...
So all of you Halloween crazed crafters are tempting me slowly to go crazy! lol
Here is one of many I am crazy about because I love for my kids to help do crafts and its SUPER CHEAP! I found this over at eighteen25 and she is so right kids go through milk like it's their job this should be a sinch before Halloween rolls around!!
what you'll need:

clean gallon milk jugs

black permanent marker

craft knife

string of clear low-wattage Christmas lights

step one: draw some spooky faces on your milk jugs.

step two: let your kids color in the faces while you bake a batch of cookies.

step three: using the craft knife (mom), cut a hole in the lower backside of the jug. about the size of a half dollar (or maybe a little bigger since i couldn't picture a half dollar).

step four: line all of your ghosts up and stuff several lights in each one.
step five: place your group of glowing spirit jugs along your walkway or front porch to welcome those cute little holiday guests.
